Boggle game?

topic posted Wed, December 24, 2003 - 11:25 AM by  Leni
Since we are the only 11 people I know (okay I know maybe 2 others) who like to play Boggle, why don't we get together and play? I don't know where that would be, since I don't know where you all live (I'm in L.A.), my place is tiny, and Boggle is kind of noisy for a cafe setting. But I thought I'd just throw that out there to start a discussion. Oh, and I'll kick all your asses by the way--I am the Boggle Queen!

Huh, Boggle Queen, eh? Well perhaps....if I am the Goddess/overlord of Boggle, i could let you merely be a queen.

Too bad the rest of Boggle tribe is in SF...carry the torch in the Southland your majesty!

i'm in sf! i wanna play!

my sf friends will no longer play boggle with me because they rarely win. i just returned from my home town, where my oldest friend and i played every day. she kicked my ass (most of the time)! it was great! i'm not competitive in a goddess/overlord sort of way, so y'all can have all the titles you wish -- i just want to play good boggle!

Oh my god, I've found my people. No one I know will play with me either, because they never win. So perhaps I would be a good match for y'all, or perhaps I just know a lot of stupid people. Actually, what I'm most looking forward to is one more chance to gloat. You know, you can't really get in a good gloat when you have to cajole people into just playing with you. Ah, the politics.

Anyway, I'm in Gilroy, CA, where people don't seem to use too many words, (lots of grunting goes on here), let alone get Boggle games going...

OK, Boggle Queen, I've been waiting to hear more about this champion Boggle tournament...are you fearing that you'll lose the throne and tiara?

Where the hell's Gilroy? Anyway, I found Boggle friends! One neighbor who won't play with me any more because she always loses. One who has been kicking my ass--though I'm catching up. Until I do, she is the new Boggle Queen of LA. And, more importantly, she loves the game as much as I do. We played one night for seven hours!

What really sucks though is that the hourglass is missing from my game! One of my damn nephews must have been using it to make a magic sand project. We have to keep running over to the microwave to set the timer. I guess Boggle can be good exercise for the body as well as the mind.

Gilroy is in Hell. And too far from LA, but closer to some of the other boggle nuts. (It's a little south of San Jose.) Anyway, I'm glad you found Boggle friends. If you want to keep getting exercise, that's fine, but we use the hand-held electric timers (about $10), and they're awesome. You don't have to look to see if time has run out...
